About Us

Fort Box Self Storage was created in the Spring of 2007 by Hugh Knowles and Ian Connolly, both of whom have experience as directors of large and medium sized self storage companies going back as far as 2000. They want to create a new self storage group with the highest levels of customer service and investment in security in the UK.

Fort Box is backed and supported by U-Store-It Trust, which is based in Wayne, Pennsylvania and is the third largest self storage group in the USA. Their participation is held through their subsidiary, YSI LP
