Move In Check List

When you arrive to move in to your storage room or unit, it is important you remember to bring the following with you:

Identification - two forms of ID:

  • Your passport or driving licence plus its counterpart

And

  • A utility bill or bank statement showing your full address

Full Contact Details

Including an email address if available; and the names, addresses and telephone numbers of two alternative contacts (for use should we be unable to reach you).

Access for Other Parties

If you wish nominated friends, colleagues or associates to have access to your unit, simply provide written consent.

Insurance

You must declare the total value of the goods you intend to have in storage. If you do not already have an insurance policy in place that covers your goods whilst in storage, Fort Box can arrange this for you. We can provide cover at a cost of £3.50 per £1000 of goods stored per 4 weeks (up to a total of £50,000). If you have your own insurance policy we will require written proof from your insurer that your declared value of goods are in insured whilst in storage at Fort Box.

Padlock

You will need a padlock to secure your storage room or unit, to which only you will hold the key. Padlocks are available for purchase in all our stores.

Payment

Your first payment must be by credit/debit card or cheque. A refundable security deposit equivalent to 4 weeks rental is also required, although this is waived if you opt to make 2nd and future payments by direct debit. Unfortunately we do not accept cash payments.
